| Making
The Most Of Your Rewards Central Account |
With Rewards Central, you can
expect around 50c a week for doing very little at the start, but if you
do a little online shopping and use the eBank to store spare points,
Australians can and do make hundreds, if not thousands of dollars from this site each year.
Step 1: Log in daily and do the free
guessing game for a chance to win 200 points (find it under 'games). Also click
through the Free Rewards section for 5 cents a day that will (slowly) add up.
Step 2: Remember to click on the 'earn 5 points' links
at the bottom of any email you receive from Rewards Central.
Step 3: Use the eBank. You can make
almost 20% p/a on your earnings, so there's no use having spare points sitting
outside of the bank. Rewards Central has a system where you earn 'ePoints', but trade
them for 'eCash' which you then spend. Only ePoints can be banked, so keep them
in there and don't trade your points for cash until you're ready to buy
something or get that cheque.
Step 4: Here's where you can make big money. Whenever you buy something online, check to see if the merchant is
a a Rewards Central partner. If they are you can claim back a percentage of what
you spend in points. Even if the shop you're about to buy from isn't a partner,
there's likely to be a partner site selling the same item (perhaps even at a
better price!). Partners range from cd and dvd shops to mortgage providers.
Step 5: Think about where you want to spend
your money. You'll pay $33 in rewards for a $30 cheque after Rewards Central's handling fees, but you'll generally only pay $50 in rewards for a $50 shopping
voucher. If a voucher is just as good to you, you're getting 10% better value
by trading your eCash for vouchers.
Step 6: Join My
Opinions. My Opinions is Rewards Central's sister site that offers paid
surveys. You can set up your account so the points you warn on My Opinions are transferred
to your Rewards Central account for redemption or e-banking
If you're brand new to Rewards Central, sign up,
read the FAQ and then read this guide again... it's bound to make a bit more
sense.
Note that these are my suggestions only. I've
been with Rewards Central (previously known as Emailcash) for more than 6 years, so I
know what works for me, but you're bound to be able to find different flavours to
these themes on
the site that might work better for you.
