What You'll Find: LEGITIMATE online survey sites that are free to join and pay Australians. International participants are also welcomed by almost all of the sites listed. Sites that only pay Aussies are indicated throughout.

Why?: You can put a lot of effort into completing profile data when you sign up to receive surveys, so the last thing you need is to waste your time doing all that for someone who just wants to get your details (or someone who sends you surveys but doesn't pay you for doing them!)

To give a bit of a raspberry to all those sites that do nothing but steal people's time, and to help others get onto the sites that do the right thing, I've put together a list of survey sites that:

• are free to join (there are no registration fees for any of the sites I have listed - guaranteed)
• I use and recommend
• give good value for the time you spend doing their surveys and
• actually pay!!! 

I've also listed the sites that have sent me a whole lot of spam or a whole lot of nothing.

There's some nice money to be earned at home from Australian surveys and global sites offering surveys that pay Australians. This site will help hook you up to those while avoiding the time-wasters. 

What You'll Earn: Decent money for the time you put in. Remember that Australian hobby earnings are tax exempt in most circumstances, so that's a bonus. (You should check www.ato.gov.au to ensure this applies to your own situation. A search for 'hobby' should get you on the right track).
